Shaking My Head
I just sat through listening to John 12 about the raising of Lazurus from the grave.
Its a deeply touching chapter.
Human nature, or willingly ignorant..here Jesus before a crowd, raises a man from the dead. Calls him out from the tomb. The resurrected man comes out wrapped in grave clothes ..obviously WAS dead. Now alive right before their eyes. The crowd in awe ..many believe..yet, there were those who 'ran and tell' the pharisees ...the end result. They wanted to destroy both the Giver of Life, Jesus and the miracle that just occurred.
I guess the same could be said for the parting of the Red Sea with Moses and the children of Israel.
It has to be a willful deliberate rebellious mind to be able to witness all of the above and still dig one's heel in to go the opposite way.
If one would stop and just try to picture the scene. The raising of Lazurus (I guess that is what they call biblical meditation)..it all really does comes alive.
Like a 3D movie and you are a part of it.
In the spirit, time and space rolls aside and you are with Him, right there re living the scene out with Him.
I have wondered if, He is aware of His Flock at that time ...witnessing. As we immerse ourselves into the spirit and study His Word. We are with Him,and He is in us.
In the Spirit, we are one with Him and the Father. In the Spirit, even at that time while He was in the flesh here on earth fulfilling His mission. He sees us, His followers. His disciples. He sees down through history, the times the places of our new birth. And beyond.
Eternity with Him and the Father.
This is just my musings. The bible talks about the Lord having joy in Himself even while enduring the Cross.
Did He see each one of us.......spiritually, we were there with Him right there at the Cross..millions and millions of us. Being bathed in His flowing Blood, becoming new. Seeing us all round the Heavenly Throne rejoicing and worshiping with hands raised. Seeing each and everyone of us ..while time and space disperses aside ... He is SEEING all of us coming to Him one by one or in thousands and millions ...transfigured and transformed into the New Creation.
Just considering this, He completes His mission of Salvation of the Redeemed, the Bride while suffering and enduring the humiliation of the Cross ..It was a done deal. The sacrifice was worth it all.
We too must learn by being in Him and immersing ourselves in His Word..see the end from the beginning. So that we too remain one in Him and the Father. Finish our missions.
Isaiah 46:12
10I distinguish the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come, saying: ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.’
Hebrews 12:2
2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
